point spread. From +2 Cal to -1 Cal

What gives here boys, which way do we go here. Obviously Joe Public is pounding Cal.

What's the rule of thumb in point spread swings?

When 100% of the people are on one side. It will always lose! That is the "unwritten" rule of gambling. Kind of like 'Murphys Law'.

You are lucky that I have seen a handful of people on the board stick w/ the Utes. That tells me that it's not 100% of the people and you should be fine.... loan up on Cal and hope for the best.

I don't really like the game.

Hold your money for the Texas/Arkansas and the Wisconsin/UNLV games this weekend.

I was going to bet CAL...now I'm not.

As much as CAL may appear to be the right side,
the simple fact that the spread changed from
CAL a dog to a favorite, keeps me off the game.

REVERSE FAVORITES THEORY....

I think I will save my money tonight boys

i have it at cal -2... i am trying to middle it as i got in at utah -1.5. now i am taking utah +2. 3.5 point swing.. usually comes out opposite. Usually 3+ point move is bad for the public.

what do you expect with the starting QB being annouced out not too long ago?! i think this is more of an adjustment than a move.

i dont think it is an adjustment.. i dont think the house would put out a line knowing a qb got injured especially in a prime time game. i checked the lines yesterday and i had utah -1.5 still and today almost game time and it is cal -2. books are always one step ahead of everyone.. if they weren't we wouldnt be able to bet on sports.

REVERSE FAVS COMES THROUGH AGAIN...

Yeh i know it doesnt happen all the time but whenever a game switches favs from the opening line to the closing line you need to take a serious look at the opening line fav.

Sure I was scared to take UTAH after reading all of the posts but its something to keep an eye on.

Good luck to all this weekend

i'm sure some big syndicates were behind this move - and knowing that - i am smiling from ear to ear over the fact they lost!

I don't know about the over being easy...since it made it by one point and a last minute touchdown...Utah will be a force in the MWC in several years, shoot maybe this yer...Urban Meyer is a great coach.

Agree w/you on Meyer, and actually there were 2 great young coaches on the field. Tedfored was Pac 10 COY LY, the list of QB`s he`s developed is amazing. Doesn`t it seem to you that going against the line moves this yr has been unusually successful?
